Sunday Arts Hour w/ Steve Rudolph & Denis DeBlasio

Sunday Arts Hour presents Steve Rudolph w/ special guest Denis DiBlasio at Landis House, 67 N. Fourth Street, Newport, as part of PCCA’s free concert series. Join us for jazz music at its best!

Steve Rudolph has had an inspiring 40-year professional music career. Jazz Improv magazine states, “Rudolph is a savvy, swinging, glimmering heavyweight.” The winner of the Jazziz Magazine Piano Competition at the Seven Springs Jazz Festival in 2000, Steve was also awarded two Jazz Composition Fellowships from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. With 11 acclaimed albums, he has served as producer, arranger and performer on many recordings and has toured internationally.

Denis DiBlasio is a baritone saxophonist, flautist, educator, composer, arranger. He is Executive Director of The Maynard Ferguson Institute of Jazz and head of Jazz and Composition programs at Rowan University. He is an international performer and clinician who says he likes to keep things simple, honest, and positive….just like jazz should be!

Sunday Arts Hour concerts are free and open to the public and are followed by a reception with light refreshments and a chance to meet the performers.
